GPS and RFID combined to provide continuous visibility for assets in transit LGB™ is a key component of a LGB Certified Solution. It is an intelligent GPS device that offers the world's first integration of RFID and GPS technology at the hardware level. This allows for product, asset, work-force, and vehicle tracking in real-time, all of the time. We call this Continuous Visibility. 

LGB is able to communicate wirelessly with LGB Certified Active RFID tags and seals or with passive RFID tags and seals when combined with one of our LGB Certified RFID readers.
Information collected by the LGB is sent to our proprietary, web-based software platform, the Global Asset Tracking & Identification System, or GATIS™. GATIS sends alerts and notifications based on user configured information within the system and is able to make intelligent decisions based on the information configured in GATIS and the data collected via the LGB.
There are two main types of LGB Certified Solutions:
LGB Active RF - LGB accepts transmissions from LGB Certified Active RFID tags or seals, transmits location information using the GPS satellite network and asset/vehicle information utilizing the GPRS wireless network.

LGB Passive RF - LGB accepts transmissions from a passive LGB Certified RFID Reader that reads tags or seals within a specified area. LGB then transmits location information using the GPS satellite network and asset/vehicle information utilizing the GPRS wireless network.
